An 18-year-old man was shot Monday evening less than two blocks from the main entrance to the State Fairgrounds.
The man suffered gunshot injuries to his torso in the 1500 block of Como Avenue in St. Paul just after 8:30 p.m., according to a report by WCCO-TV. He was taken to Regions Hospital and is expected to survive.
No suspects were in custody Monday night, the report said.
A KARE-TV photojournalist reported that multiple shell casings were visible near at the scene.
The incident comes on the heels of a shooting within the Fairgrounds, which sent fairgoers scrambling for safety near the entrance to the Midway on Saturday night.
