Faculty of Law is organizing a client counseling competition on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in virtual mode and is seeking registrations for the same.
About the Organization
GLS University, a private university in Ahmedabad, was established in 2015 with the objective of providing a creative learning environment and continuing the tradition of excellence in education. The sponsoring body of GLS University, Gujarat Law Society (GLS) was established in the year 1927.
Faculty of Law (FOL), a constituent department of GLS University, is a premier destination for students interested in establishing a virtuous career in Law. The faculty of Law has emerged as the most preferred destination for legal education. Faculty of Law secured a position in the Forbes Legal Power list 2020 as one of the most promising Law Schools in India.
The Legal Aid Clinic, under the banner of the Faculty of Law, shall organize the National Client Counselling Competition in the virtual mode. Legal Aid Clinic (LAC) provides legal aid to the inmates of Sabarmati Jail, Ahmedabad along with other legal aid activities.
About the Competition
The prime objective of this competition is to impart professional skills in client counseling to budding lawyers. Adhering to this principle, the Faculty of Law shall organize the client counseling competition on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
All total 32 teams will be selected for the competition on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The four rounds of competition will be held virtually
- Preliminary Round (Recoded Video Submission)
- Quarterfinal, Semi-final, and Final rounds (Virtual Presentation)
Important Dates
- Last Date for Registration:- January 31, 2023.
- Submission of Preliminary Round Video Recording:- February 19, 2023
- Result Declaration of Preliminary Round:- February 23, 2023
- Execution of Quarter Final, Semi-Final, and Final Round:- February 25, 2023
- Result Declaration of All Rounds and Prize Distribution:- February 25, 2023
