Former UCF offensive lineman Ryan Swoboda is set to participate in Saturday’s NFLPA Collegiate Bowl following a week of practice alongside other NFL Draft prospects in Pasadena, California.

Swoboda will play for the American team, which is coached by former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher, and take on the National team coached by former All-Pro rusher Eddie George.

The college football all-star game, that’s sponsored by the NFL Players Association, will kick off at 6 p.m. on NFL Network.

Swoboda becomes the latest Knight to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl that’s played at the Rose Bowl Stadium joining recent UCF participants wide receiver Brandon Johnson (2022), defensive back Kyle Gibson (’19), defensive lineman Tony Guerad (2018) and defensive back Shaquill Griffin (2017).

The 6-foot-10, 325-pound offensive lineman started all 14 games for the Knights in 2022 at offensive tackle. He blocked for a UCF rushing offense (228.3 yards per game) that ranked No. 9 overall in the country.

For his efforts upfront, Swoboda earned first-team all-conference honors from the AAC coaches and the Phil Steele College Football Magazine. He was a second-team selection by Pro Football Focus.

Prior to one year at UCF, Swoboda was a multi-year starter at Virginia, where he made 25 starts over the course of four seasons in the ACC.

Founded in 2012, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl gives prospective players an opportunity to showcase their talents to potential employers and fans.

Nearly 200 scouts, player personnel staff, general managers and head coaches from all 32 NFL teams are in attendance to watch live practices, conduct player interviews and review tape, according to the game’s website.
